First release

So there it is, I released the first version of Mapping Stories to itch.io. The tool is very useful in my own work as a software developer to layout user stories and map them in a workflow as well as planning releases. It is intentionally not a cloud SAAS thing, for which you need to sign up, pay a monthly fee and put your data on a server you don't know. The data is kept locally and you can export and import the projects as text files, send them to your colleagues are back them up on a cloud drive as you like, it's your choice. This also means you don't have to create an account and log in. It's more like working in traditional office products, where you have to work with files living on your own local drive.

Other than that the most notable difference to other online solutions is its simplicity. Knowing this could also be interpreted as lacking features, it can also be an advantage to just be able to quickly start planning without wasting time to setup and having to learn the basics. That said, I will definitely add more features, focusing on the most important ones for me, since I am using the tool myself.

I hope you'll like the tool and can use it productively. Let me know if you have needs for features or found some bugs, I'll try to incorporate this into future versions.

Cheers

Stephan
